11 Weeks to Go!

It's amazing how time has flown by with my pregnancy. With summer almost into full swing, I'm sure the last of it will be even faster.

I had a Glucose Test last week that came back with levels "a little high." That resulted in additional testing consisting of 4 blood draws in 3 hours this past Monday. Those results came back normal so all is well!

It sounds like we may have settled on a name (finally). Nothing official yet and we've decided to make you all squirm a bit longer! I don't think we'll be making any announcements prior to his arrival. We've had such a difficult time deciding on anything, we want to be 100%!!!

We also had a great meeting today with a Doula. For those who don't know, a Doula is essentially a birthing coach. We are trying to go the "au natural" route, and she will be able to provide constant support during labor, as well as help me labor at home as long as possible for maximum comfort! She was very insightful, and I think will be a great help during the process!

I promise I'll post some belly pictures soon! Hope everyone is well!

Less Than Three Months To Go!!!

Hi everyone!

I returned from a great trip to Vermont about a week and a half ago. Family and friends threw me a wonderful baby shower and were so generous! Our little guy is lucky to have so many people that will love him. Our only regret is being so far from home!

I had a great time visiting with both family and friends. Auntie Lizzy is super excited about her nephew, and of course, Noni and Papi (or Opa ~ not sure what he's decided to be called yet:-) are thrilled! We're sure Jr. will have a blast with Uncle Mike and his new girlfriend, er I mean tractor (he he). Also enjoyed a fun night out in Stowe with Elisabeth and Denise. At 3, 6 and 9 months pregnant, we were a site to be seen!

Grammy Handy, Aunt Connie and cousins Wanda, Stephanie and Brandy we also able to make it to the shower. I am always sorry we don't get to visit more... especially on these whirlwind trips home! I know they all miss us, and are always bummed when Kevin can't make the trip! Hopefully we'll see you all here in Wyoming someday soon!

I will be 28 weeks along on Saturday. Everything has been great so far... aside from some pretty significant insomnia (I now understand why insomniacs sometimes wind up committed!) all of my pregnancy symptoms have been pretty tolerable. I am however starting to feel the uncomfortable stages of the third trimester though. "Moose," as we have taken to calling him, is pretty active and moving around more and more each day. We just got his crib and dresser, so we're almost ready for him. We wanted to be prepared prior to the busy summer as I will be pretty busy and my energy levels are dwindling quickly! Ruger, our other "son" seems pretty confused. Hopefully he adjusts well!

Some pictures are below.

And a big happy CONGRATS to Ken and Elisabeth Jennings on the birth of Lauren Elisabeth, who arrived on June 9! Can't wait to meet her!
