Visit to Vermont!

January just flew by! Eli and I took our first trip to Vermont from the 14th to the 25th! A nice long trip, but it still seemed like a whirlwind! Eli got to meet lots of extended family and friends. I'm sure the little guy was a bit confused being passed around by all those "strangers" (to him, of course), but he handled it like a champ! He was also great on all 4 flights, both to and from VT (much to his mother's relief). Hardly a peep!

While in VT, we celebrated GG's (Great Grandmother Edith) 94th birthday. She was pretty unaware of what was going on, due to her Alzheimer's, but we were at least able to enjoy the day with her and of course, take the obligatory 4 generation photographs. I will post those when I get them... they were taken on Nonni and Opa's Camera.

Uncle Ken fixed up my old childhood sled with a new back and sides, so Eli was able to enjoy the great outdoors! We didn't go far, but it was fun just the same. Eli thanked him with a healthy spit up down the front of his fleece!

Auntie Dian enjoyed snuggling with Eli, and was a pro at getting him to crack up! She also knit him an adorable hat and was working on some baby socks when we left! Thanks for keeping him warm and cozy!

Auntie Lizzy came up for a visit with her friends Laura and Nicole during our first weekend home, and with Uncle Jay during the second. We all had a blast hanging out and catching up. We are anxiously awaiting a visit to their new house in Hampstead, NH!

Uncle Mike came over with Chester... who Eli loved. he was licked from head to toe and thought it was hilarious.

We also spend the day with Grammy Handy in Swanton on Wednesday. She was quite smitten with her newest grandchild... we're looking forward to her visit early this summer! Uncle Stuart was also home to meet his new nephew!

Erika got her first night out on the town on Saturday with friends Elisabeth, Denise, Mika, Joni and Mitzie... a fun time was had by all! Eli and I also enjoyed getting together with Elisabeth and Denise and their kids earlier in the week! Quite the brood all combined! Can't wait to see them again!

Eli is now over 19 lbs. He's on the verge of sitting up and rolling from back to front. We've also started him on some solid foods. Mainly a rice/barley cereal combo, applesauce, pears, peas, green-beans and prunes (which he loves, just like Opa). Slowly introducing more as we go! still nursing about 6 times a day, and we're currently working on getting his sleep schedule back on track! Once we've accomplished the right schedule, we'll work on transitioning from the swing to the crib. We're also planning on building a small bedroom for Eli... still deciding where the walls should go!

Our love to everyone! Hope this finds you well!

XOXO
